ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Adam Tippetts

Adam Tippetts spent almost exactly twenty years in law enforcement. Fall of Duty grew from his effort to understand how ordinary human tendencies—bias, pride, conformity, rationalization, fear, loyalty, anger, self-deception, and the pressures of organizational culture—can shape ethical judgment inside a profession entrusted with extraordinary authority.

His central argument is not that good people are secretly bad. It is that good people remain human, and that ethics must be practiced, examined, and maintained.

“Ethics is something closer to a discipline.”

The book is ultimately an argument for stronger judgment, stronger accountability, and a healthier ethical culture.
